State of The Disunion

Well as usual Obama has managed to ride in on a political Trojan horse in his newly forged effort to convince the American public that he is now a Centrist.   At yesterday's State of The Union get-together the powers that be seated Republican with Democrat in a mock showing of "civility".   During his address  Obama seemed conciliatory, even contrite.   But lest we forget that we are dealing with the "Great Oral Reader"...er..I mean  the "Great Orator." Obama shot a clear salvo at his new Republican buddies.  To quote Obama while addressing the new Republican House majority; "We will move forward together or not at all".  How civil of him!   It is the continuance of this rather immature rhetoric that convinces all but the most diplomatic observer that Obama is not totally committed to moving towards the Center.   Nor is he interested in paying more than lip service to civility.   Let us not forget that this is the same man who once warned Republicans that "if they bring a knife to the fight we bring a gun".   Throughout his Presidency Obama has  been smug and at times even truculent when it comes to being a good winner or..worse...when it comes to being a good loser.   Why this Presidents persists in school -yard challenges which seem well below his station is any one's guess.  At this point. suffice it to say that perhaps he is being dragged kicking and screaming  closer to the center.   Don't worry Mr. President most America's reside at this political locale and they find it to be a very viable position.   Maybe Obama can join the rest of the country as we attempt to move towards prosperity because Mr. President most of the nation plans on moving in that direction with or without you so "Nyah, Nyah, Nyah, baby cry".   Sorry just trying to speak the President's language.

Food For Thought

     The Federal Government now wants to improve school lunches and access to such lunches by lower-class students.  The Obama administration has signed into law the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010.   Aside from the discordant name of this act there is the simple fact that  funding for such an ambitious initiative will be inadequate.   When most schools in American are bereft of books and other essential supplies it is impractical to institute such a costly initiative.   Part of the problem is free school lunches and breakfasts.   With social programs such as WIC and SNAP costing the American tax payer billions of dollars I see no reason why the SNAP card and the WIC card provided to recipients of these programs can't be attached to the dissemination of school breakfasts and lunches provided to lower income students.   This would drastically reduce the costs of the President's new initiative if the recipients are charged a minimal cost for lunch (and/or breakfast) to their SNAP or WIC card.   I am certainly not against students being provided healthy lunches. I am however against adding another financial burden to the already greatly overburdened budgets of American schools.   WIC and SNAP are in place to help lower income families to provide healthy meals for their families.    The last time I checked lunch was a meal.   I will refrain here from saying "There is no such thing as a free lunch"...oops! Right On!

Spinning Out Of Control

Well the Left has managed to let no tragedy go unused again.   By now everyone is well aware of the random and tragic shooting of Democratic representative Giffords in Arizona along with 12 others.   Six innocent Americans lost their lives including a nine-year old girl.   No sooner had the incident occurred when the far left Rumplestiltskins began  trying to spin tragedy into Liberal /Democratic political gold.    I will not bring further publicity to the plethora of Lefty  ghouls who decided to blame the shooting on everyone from Glenn Beck to Bill O'Reilly but suffice it to say, as usual, their vitriolic nonsense was founded on nothing more than Quixotic Dreams of holding onto power in 2012.   Also par for the course was an onus being placed on erstwhile Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.   Palin has become the Bogeywoman for all of the Liberal meanderings extant in their world of political and social  Make Believe.   Like the fearsome ( and imaginary!) goblin-like creature Palin seems to engender irrational fears in the prevaricate minds of these Liberal pundits.   However, there is a much more diabolical element to this "Spin Cycle".  This time lives were lost at the hands of a madman with NO TIES to Palin, Republicans, or Conservatives.   Rumplestiltskin's scheming and deviant mindset seems to be functioning in the fetid brains of these Liberal parasites; if only we could banish them all by simply speaking their names!

Republicans: "The Party Of Known".

        Now that the Republican Party has wrested control of Congress from the profligate hands of the Democrats it is time for bold strokes and straightforward initiatives.   For far too long now the GOP has allowed itself to become an ill-defined entity whose platform has been misrepresented by the Democratic spin-machine. This has occurred with little effort at proper delineation being offered by the Republican Powers-That-Be.

      As a matter of fact, if the GOP is going to parlay its recent successes into a Presidential win in 2012 it is imperative that they become the "Party of Known".   By this I mean that whomever the GOP decides to run for President in 2012 he or she must start right this moment by letting the American public know exactly what it is that he or she stands for.   By extension, the Republican Party as a whole needs to come out right this very moment with clearly defined goals, solutions, and practical initiatives designed to bring the country back from the brink of Obama-Pelosi-Reed- forged financial ruin.  

      Most importantly the Party must return to the Conservative philosophy and ideals which most Americans define themselves by.   This Conservative paradigm must be at the forefront of every debate which a Republican Party representative engages in when confronted with a Democratic Party opponent.   Obviously the ultimate utilization of this paradigm must be put forth by the Republican Presidential contender.   However, the ab ovo of disseminating this political paradigm is in the hands of the Freshman Republican Congressmen and Congresswomen.   Let us now become the "PARTY OF KNOWN" ladies and gentlemen.
