The Right Stuff
OK so we are marching inexorably towards the 2012 elections and hopefully the end of Obama's reign as America's worst President. The question which lies before us is this; As we follow the cadence of designer shoes marching hopefully towards Presidential glory, what will the next Prez need to do to save us all? In coming Blogs I will wax intellectually upon my suggestions for the next Commander in chief. My opening suggestion is a simple one. The next leader of the free world should assure that all entities of Federal and local government are doing the jobs for which they were created. Case in point. To the best of my knowledge the Educational system in the US was created with one obvious goal in mind; To educate our young. Somewhere along the line however the liberal powers that be have decided to include the raising of children as an addendum to the already daunting task of edjumacation. Schools across the land serve free breakfasts, provide for dental health, have teachers and school reps make home visits, become involved in personal family occurrences, and in many cases practically relieve the parent of any responsibility for raising their own child. Of course this plays well with the Dems and Liberals who feel that we are not responsible for our own lives and that the government knows better. But there is something more insidious going on here. The Dems have found that if they can take the burden of raising ones child and/or working for an honest living away from certain individuals, than they can insure that these individuals will keep them in office. Thus the changing in perceived Educational responsibilities. I will discourse further on this Liberal agenda in coming Blogs. Suffice it to say that the Republicans needed to guard against this kowtowing to America's laziest by the Dems.

At Your Beck And Call
Well one of our fellow warriors has fallen. The Liberal Left will no longer have erstwhile alcoholic and self-professed A.D.H.D. sufferer Glenn Beck to kick around. The powers that be have cited a 40% viewership drop and miffed sponsors as the cause for the year-end dropping of Beck from the Fox airwaves. Also, members of both the left and Right have denounced Becks undefined allegiances, and supposedly unfounded attacks as cause-a-plenty for yanking the chubby, puckish host from the airwaves.
When Beck first started at Fox I found him to be jovial, well-informed, and original. As time went on however, Beck became sullen, foreboding, and very Nostradamian in his presentations of immanent doom. His chalk board dissertations became convoluted, paranoiac, and conspiratorial. I am not saying that Beck was always wrong in his assertions, more often than not he was spot on. What I am saying is that he became too intellectual for his own good. Beck misjudged his viewing audience which is the kiss of death for any personality. Beck was preaching to a conservative, Middle-American audience. He was not being watched by high-brow intellectuals who could traverse the increasingly wending trail of Becks conspiratorial labyrinth.
Another problem for Beck was over-exposure. Television, radio, books, traveling shows, gatherings, documentaries, road shows with Bill O'Reilly. Beck became as ubiquitous as shots of Obama on still another vacation. This too is the kiss of death for personalities. Hey Shawn Hannity remember, in this field of endeavor less is more. We need all of the conservative thinkers we can get.

See Ya, Wouldn't Want To Li-B-Ya !
Well President Obama has come out recently ( albeit a little late) to explain America's role in Libya. Apparently, The Prez has stated that we will support the people of Libya in their struggle to wrest their futures from the hands of Gadhafi. However, the President has made it clear that we will not offer military help in this struggle. Obama plans on letting NATO handle the wet work in this instance. I am not going to challenge the President's stance in this instance. We do not need to pour American lives and funds into assisting another country in their challenge to become a more democratic nation. However, we will eventually, I am predicting, start pouring U.S. funds into helping the people of Libya. With America's financial future at death's door I think we should offer Libya moral and spiritual support. Let's save the cash for our own futures. Now that the President has pledged his moral support let's hit the road and look after our own concerns. See Ya, wouldn't wanna Li-B-Ya!

The Invisible Nominee
As we march inexorably towards the 2012 Presidential elections it again behooves me to chide the Republican Party for what I see as it's total lack of strong decision making. As I have mentioned in a previous blog, if we are to get our "Fearless Reader" Barack Obama ousted from a position which he never should have held, the Republican party must choose a challenger now, and promote the hell out of him or her.
By leaving extant a field of cult-of-personality would- be Presidents, without denoting a strong challenger, the Republican party is leaving precious little time to get a strong leadership message out, voiced by a strong leader. I am suggesting that a strong, well presented Republican contender can handily defeat the totally impotent, community organizer- turned- teleprompter reader we now have taking up space in the oval office. As I see it, the field of would-be Commanders-in-Chief that now litter the Political landscape, are as wimpy as hero turned Political "nice guy" John McCain turned out to be. The last thing this fading Democracy needs is four more years of a man who is President in name only. The Republicans need to hurriedly choose a solid, visible, contender and promote this contender and his or her strong leadership message. With the field of "I- am -not- certain- if -I- am -running -or- not" game players now in the mix we may as well have Claude Rains's name in the running as well.

Teach The Parents Well.
Here it comes; I am about to be politically incorrect. With all of the problems with the American educational system, it behooves me to point out that the onus is on the wrong causation agent. The powers that be seem to focus on poorly trained or incompetent teachers, lack of proper funding, poverty, poor nutrition, and a host of other Liberal Bogeymen. Let me open some eyes. I am highly educated and have worked in education for more than ten years. No matter how we attack this urgent concern, things will never, change unless we get parents involved in the lives of THEIR children. Now here comes the Politically incorrect moment. With the exponential growth of the Hispanic population in the U.S., I think it is time that Hispanic parents take a stake in the future of THEIR children. More than any other group in the U.S. Hispanics have bought into the Liberal entitlement mentality. They have let the Liberals convince them that they do not need to lift a finger to take care of themselves, or their progeny. Good Ol' Unkie Sam will take care of everything. Consequently, since they have not developed RESPONSIBILTY, they are not raising their children to be responsible in school. Since they have not developed self-RESPECT, their children do not possess it, nor do they show RESPECT for teachers and staff. Finally, since they live in a country where they can get a house, food, medical care, and a myriad of other entitlements, they don't face the REALITY of what happens if you don't work for a living. Wanna improve our school systems and educational processes? Start by teaching these parents the three R's: Responsibilty, Respect, and Reality. Schools out!

The Amazing Atomic President
I am about to discourse in the most philosophical of terms. I am doing this because I trust that my readers are bright enough to understand it; after all most of you are Conservatives. Let's face it they call it the Left because when God was giving out brains, they all left. Anyhoo, here goes. I am disturbed at how the media has taken to critiquing President Obama in Atomistic terms. Let me clarify. Instead of commenting on his ratings with the American people (on various criteria) in a holistic fashion, there is instead a trend towards separating the components of his lousy decisions from the man himself. This Atomistic way of separating the man from his deeds,or to put it another way, to say that the various decision- making components of the man don't constitute the total of the man is an Atomistic copout. Even those media respondents who aren't particularly aroused by the once God-like President are quick to say that the public like the man but hate his policies. Bunk! You cannot separate Obama from the legacy of his dim-witted policies. I find it very difficult to believe that the American public is fond of a man who has given us record spending, record unemployment, insults to the country which he is the leader of, and subterfuge which would have made Nixon proud. Please don't get me wrong, I don't hate the guy but lets just say I am not fond of a president who bringing our country to ruin.

Why Juannie Can't Read
In light of the Administration's focus on school lunches and children's diets it behooves me to address a scholastic concern which really counts. There is a concern extant in the world of American academia having to do with the difficulty Hispanic children are having with reading. The general reasoning is that a lack of familiarity with the English language, poverty, and yes that old Liberal standby racism , are the root causes for this reading problem. I beg to differ ( knew that was coming, huh?). First of all it behooves me to ask why Hispanics, especially Puerto Ricans, are the only wave of immigrants ( I know, technically Puerto Ricans are not immigrants) who come to these shores and do not immediately teach themselves the language. For crying out loud Puerto Rico is contiguous with the U.S.! Secondly, if poverty was a reason to hamper the ability to read, I would not be laboring furiously over this brilliant blog! (I kid the blog is merely insightful...in a brilliant way). Finally, racism too would not account for the vast amount of Hispanic students in remedial reading. May I offer a rationale? Perhaps Hispanic parents need to spend the time they have sitting at home reading to their kids and spend less time listening to Democrats tell them how woebegone they are.
